Paradise reward players

After an impressive 2022 football season, powerhouses Paradise are anticipating further growth in a full 2023 season in their nine teams and advanced qualification among their coaches.

Those plans were outlined by outspoken president Adrian Donovan when the Dover Christ Church-based football club held an award ceremony on Sunday night for their outstanding players who led Paradise to the UEFA Cup Under-19 Championship and second place in the Republic Cup.

“We had a good season overall at youth, senior and masters level. We are now in the process of putting together a female team for the 2023 season. We also achieved a lot of success off of the pitch.

“Last year six of our club coaches received their licenses with both Kenville “Cab” Layne and Kent Hall gaining B licenses. Mario Harte is presently in Trinidad and Tobago doing the A license. Layne, Hall and Harte are also part of the national teams’ coaching personnel.” (KB)
