Forty-year-old Keisha Tison and her partner Jason Weekes lost their two-bedroom timber house and all possessions to a fire this morning.
Weekes and Tison, who shared the house with three others, were not at home when the incident occurred.
Tison said she had left home after 10 a.m. to collect her daughter and granddaughter when she got a call at 11:49 a.m. and was informed of the bad news.
Tison said she was still in shock.
Weekes said he left home around 6 a.m. to do a private job and received a call from Tison around midday regarding the fire.
Parliamentary representative for St Andrew Dr Romel Springer was on the scene and he said he had already made arrangements for the family to sleep in a comfortable place for the night. (SB)
