A small act of honesty has had a major impact.
Monday afternoon while he was walking to the barbershop, 13-year-old Najari Chase saw a British visitor drop his wallet and, without a moment’s hesitation, he quickly picked it up and returned it to its owner.
The visitor was so grateful to Chase that he shot a video, which was posted on Facebook, about the deed and thanked the youngster. The video went viral on social media as many people forwarded it and commented on the post.
Yesterday at his Oistins, Christ Church home, Chase said he was not expecting all that reaction.
“I was walking through Oistins out by the boats and then I told myself to walk on the sidewalk. While I was walking there, I saw the visitor and his wife. I saw the man drop his wallet and his wife walked right over it. I took it up, carried it to him and he said ‘thank you’ and gave me a $5 token,” he said.
