Gunman left with the bag

Ryan Jason Greene has literally been left holding the bag.

Yesterday, after confessing to having four illegal guns and 99 bullets, the 39-year-old mechanic told the No. 4 Supreme Court he had been holding them for the man who was gunned down in 2017 and whose name graces the reference case for all gun matters.

Greene, of Pile Bay, Spring Garden, St Michael, pleaded guilty to having a .32-calibre Smith and Wesson revolver, a .25-calibre Colt revolver and a .38-calibre revolver along with 32 rounds of ammunition on October 30, 2017.

He also admitted having a 9mm semi-automatic pistol and 67 rounds of ammunition the following day, October 31.

“Were you hiring out the firearms or just moving them around?” Justice Laurie-Ann Smith-Bovell asked Greene, whose four previous convictions included drugs.

“No, ma’am. I wasn’t hiring them out, I was just . . . . It was a stupid move,” he replied. “I was just helping somebody. I just had them there and I ain’t know what happen.” (HLE)
