Twenty-three people were injured after two minibuses collided at Prospect, St James, along Highway 1 around 6:25 a.m. on Monday.
Of the injured, at least three were in serious condition and had to be transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Some were transported via a Transport Board bus to seek treatment at the Branford Taitt Polyclinic while others sought their own arrangements.
Communications and Public Affairs Officer of the Barbados Police Service, Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss, gave that update at the mass casualty scene.
