‘Too few’ women on boards

Though women in Barbados are achieving positions of leadership, they are still under-represented in the boardrooms.

This assessment was made yesterday by executive director of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Misha Lobban-Clarke, in her opening remarks to scores of women participating the first ever P.O.W.E.R Summit organised by the BCCI.

The one-day event, held at Hilton Barbados with several other women participating virtually, featured presentations by a select group of key female business leaders on the eve of today’s International Women’s Day.

Speakers shared their expertise, with topics such as How Emotional Intelligence Can Supercharge Your Relationships; Visionary Leadership Through Greater Collaboration and Igniting Your Confidence. (GC)
