Three bar bandits admit guilt

In a surprising turn of events, three men who were on trial for robbing Monsta Grill Bar owner Elvis Graham and his staff almost seven years ago threw in the towel in the No. 3 Supreme Court yesterday.

Joel Omar Hunte, Damien Shavaine Proverbs and Nathaniel Renaldo Robinson, all of Parish Land, Christ Church, will return on May 18 to be sentenced.

Charged

They went on trial last week charged with, but had denied, robbing Elvis Graham of $6 800, two cell phones, a pair of earrings, a chain and ring; robbing Taja Neblett of a cell phone and $10; robbing Zariena Khan of a cell phone, chain and $105; and robbing Andrew Maloney of a phone and $20, all on June 18, 2015.

Senior State Counsel Neville Watson and Rudolph Burnett prosecuted, while Hunte was represented by attorney Angella Mitchell-Gittens; Proverbs by Queen’s Counsel Michael Lashley and attorney Sade Harris; and Robinson by attorney Rasheed Belgrave. (HLE)
