The numbers far exceeded expectations as people came out in their numbers  for a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the renovated venue which will host nine matches including the highly anticipated final.

The infectious music incorporating melodic flutes echoed throughout the grounds as patrons ascended the steps of the oval to partake in the day’s activities.

After an official address from the Chairman of Kensington Oval Management Inc. Damien Gaskin, all in attendance were put into large groups with their assigned tour guides and taken throughout the facility to experience the mecca in its full glory.

The main areas visited on the tour were the various stands, including the newly constructed grand stand which towers over the arena providing an optimal view of the city at its apex. Visitors were also shown the newly renovated media centre, the physio room, locker rooms and refurbished bathrooms. Tours continued throughout the afternoon. (DG)
