Thirty to represent Barbados at Pan Am Games

Surfer Chelsea Tuach, tennis player Darian King, and cyclist Amber Joseph will spearhead a 30-member multi-sport Barbados team for the upcoming XIX Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile from October 20 to November 5.

The country will be represented in 20 individual sports, supported by 30 officials including coaches and management as announced by the Barbados Olympic Association.

Four years ago, sprint-hurdler Shane Brathwaite captured Barbados’ first and only gold medal at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.

In 2019, Brathwaite prevailed in a time of 13.31 seconds to deliver the country’s only medal at the 18th staging of the Games.
