Pungent odour disrupts classes

After two consecutive days of disruption caused by environmental issues, Lawrence T. Gay Memorial Primary School will open today.

However, a report from the Ministry of Health and Wellness, expected to be completed today, is to determine how teaching will be executed next week.

Chief Education Officer Dr Ramona Archer-Bradshaw said last night that the school would open today for pupils and staff who were not affected.

On Wednesday and yesterday, parents of Class 2, 3 and 4 pupils were contacted early to collect their wards because of an environmental problem. (SB
