Barbados Pride were 38 for one, replying to Jamaica Scorpions first innings total of 328, at lunch on the second day of their second round match in the West Indies Championship on Wednesday at Kensington Oval.
At the interval, Pride captain Kraigg Brathwaite and Shamarh Brooks were both not out 17, after the hosts had an early setback with left-handed opener Shayne Moseley caught at first slip off pacer Marquino Mindley for four, playing defensively forward.
Earlier, a career-best spell from Raymon Reifer led to the swift destruction of the remainder of the Scorpions batting after they continued from their overnight total of 299 for three.
The left-arm pacer ended with 6-23 from 13.4 overs to trigger a Scorpions batting collapse in which the visitors lost their last seven wickets for 27 in 76 balls.
Scorpions captain John Campbell added only four to his overnight score and finished with 127, and Paul Palmer Jr failed to add to his bedtime score of 76 before they both fell to Reifer after a stand of 133 for the fourth wicket.
None of the other Scorpions batsmen that came to the crease on the day reached 20.
Pride claimed the second new ball after 82 overs with Scorpions on 301 for three, and Reifer bowled unchanged from the Malcolm Marshall End until the innings closed for a spell of 7.1-4-8-6.
Sharing the new ball with fellow left-arm pacer Ramon Simmonds, Reifer started the rout when he bowled Palmer, and got Alwyn Williams caught at cover for two, playing a drive, in his next over.
Three overs later, Simmonds bowled Romaine Morris for a duck, and next over, Reifer got Campbell caught at deep backward square leg, playing a miscued pull.
After a short period of resistance, Reifer got Mindley caught at point for nine, and brought the innings to a close in his next over, when he bowled Jamie Merchant for 12 and had Patrick Harty caught at second slip for a first-ball duck.
Summarised scores:
SCORPIONS 328 (John Campbell 127, Paul Palmer 76, Nkrumah Bonner 49, Leroy Lugg 39, Jamie Merchant 12; Raymon Reifer 13.4-4-23-6).
