Parents of CP students worried about school construction

Some parents of students at the Coleridge and Parry School (CP) have raised concerns about the scheduled reopening today amid major construction.

They told the DAILY NATION they had been informed tents had been sourced for some children to have their classes, while the canteen might not be operational.

The Ashton Hall, St Peter school, which sustained damage from Hurricane Elsa last July, is still undergoing extensive repairs. Students and teachers are expected to begin their face-to-face module today.

General secretary of the National Council of Parent-Teacher Associations, Nicole Brathwaite, said the last meeting in which she participated, principal Sonja Goodridge reported she was pleased with the progress being made and had secured some tents and other equipment for the children.
