Randy Kemar Phillips was found not guilty yesterday of illegal gun possession and ammunition.
The jury, in the No. 3 Supreme Court, took about an hour and 20 minutes to come to its unanimous decision.
Justice Carlisle Greaves then told Phillips he was free to go.
Phillips, 35, of Carter’s, St John, had denied having a .38-calibre semi-automatic pistol and six rounds of ammunition on May 16, 2016.
He was represented by Angella Mitchell-Gittens, while Senior State Counsel Neville Watson prosecuted the matter. (HLE)
