Minister’s plea for patience

Minister of Transport and Works Santia Bradshaw is asking for the public’s patience as Government moves to improve Barbados’ road infrastructure.

Speaking Friday during a tour of three locations after the closing ceremony of the tenth International Road Federation Congress, Bradshaw said the ambitious road programmes will take time.

“I think the contractors are well aware that starting at this time will be a challenge. They are Barbadians and know the terrain and they will take the necessary precautions,” she said.

The three locations were Carmichael Road – where Bradshaw was speaking; Lears to the Clyde Walcott Roundabout; and Salters Tenantry Road, all in St George. (CA)
