Mia’s mission

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley says it is important for Barbados to remain resilient and to stick to its policies in an unstable world

She was delivering the feature address yesterday at the former Glebe Polyclinic in St George, now renamed the Frederick “Freddie” Miller Polyclinic.

Miller was a businessman, engineer, electrician and politician, the late father of former Deputy Prime Minister, Ambassador Dame Billie Miller.

“This country cannot afford the luxury of the disruption of policy or trajectory because we simply do not have the buffer to be able to recover. The reality is, the world in which we live is truly challenged on so many fronts, therefore it is important that we guard everything we have in order to become resilient . . . and ensure we are fit for purpose,” Mottley said, adding she believed the world would remain unstable for the next decade or two.

She said it was also important for services to be brought to the people. (Nation News)
