Local gospel artistes have the talent to write and produce original content, said Barbados Gospelfest executive producer Adrian R. Agard.
During a SigniaGlobe Barbados Gospelfest artistes’ workshop on Saturday in one of the Sky Mall Conference Rooms, Haggatt Hall, St Michael, he told the Sunday Sun foreign influences had permeated the local scene and he wanted young Barbadian gospel artistes to be able to express God in their own unique ways.
“Traditionally, we have tended to copy what others are doing overseas and not really pay enough attention to developing our own [brand]. It is good stuff but it is a matter of our people being aware that they too have something to offer,” he said. (CA)
