Kerrie Symmonds may be no stranger to party hopping but don’t ask him to cross the floor.
The St James Central seat holder for the Barbados Labour Party yesterday gave a thumbs down to suggestions by defeated Opposition leader Bishop Joseph Atherley that he do like him and cross the floor, to become the next Opposition Leader.
In an interview yesterday on Starcom Network, Symmonds said he was amused by Atherley’s comments.
“I can only say to you that I am flattered by Reverend Atherley’s vote of confidence in me. Obviously, he wants the world to know that he now sees me as being a future leader of this country and to that extent I am humbled,” he said. (MB)
