‘I did not steal client’s money’

He did not steal any client’s money.

This was the denial of accused attorney Norman Leroy Lynch yesterday as he added he could not say what had happened to his account and the monies in it while he was out ill from his office.

Lynch, of Grassfield Gap, Martindales Road, St Michael, made the statement from the dock of the No. 2 Supreme Court as he gave his defence yesterday.

The attorney has denied engaging in money laundering, in that he directly engaged in transactions totalling $457 634 being the proceeds of crime, between June 22, 2007, and December 21, 2008. (HLE)
