Forde calls for football ceasefire

Stop the blame game.

Former Barbados football captain Norman Forde is calling on local administrators to quit pointing fingers at each other and unite to help propel the sport to an international level.

Forde, 44, who made 126 appearances for the island, scoring 28 goals, said he was extremely concerned about the state of the sport both on and off the field.

“Rather than fighting against Randy [Harris], we have to come up with solutions to take football further,” he told NATIONSPORT.

“It really isn’t any help to the sport or good for the association. It has to stop. I know that football is not at a place where we want it right now, but we have to find ways to get it back to where it was.” (AGB)
