Fish Festival ends with a bang

Dolphins were skinned, flying fish were deboned, greasy poles were conquered, trays were carefully balanced and fish cakes were devoured.

The excitement peaked on the third and final day of the Flow Oistins Fish Festival as the main competitions took place.

Arguably the flagship event, this year the greasy pole was not so much a competition but more of an exhibition as the lone team of Scarborough, Christ Church youth put on an expert display of how teamwork could conquer even the greasiest of poles.

The other main event, the dolphin (mahi mahi) skinning competition, was over in a few minutes as the man nicknamed after the fish, Tyrone “Dolphin” Shorey, put on yet another clinical showing.
