If ever there were people who deserved to be jailed for their plot to flatten a woman’s bank account and then to get rid of her to cover up their crime, it’s Kirk St Clair White and Kevin DaCosta Cadogan, said Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Alliston Seale.
The third man, Adrian Drakes, he said, was used as he was a then addict who was given a gun and told to carry out their bidding.
Seale said while Drakes was an adult, he was labouring under a cocaine addiction and that addiction caused him to perform an act he would not normally contemplate.
Seale made the submissions on sentence in the No. 4 Supreme Court yesterday.
“This is a matter one cannot take lightly because notwithstanding (defence counsel) seeking to individualise and particularise the various aspects, it is treating it as a whole that we see the depravity of the actions of the convicted men, whatever roles they have played,” Seale declared. (HLE)
