There were 400 new COVID-19 cases, 158 males and 242 females, recorded on Monday, July 18, from the 1 083 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.
The new cases consisted of 68 people under the age of 18, and 332 who were 18 years and older.
The number of people in isolation facilities was 42, while 1 857 were in home isolation.
An 89-year-old fully vaccinated man died from the virus on Monday.
As at July 18, there were 480 COVID-19 related deaths.
The public health laboratory has conducted 717 655 tests since February 2020, and recorded 88 154 COVID-19 cases (40 260 males and 47 894 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the number of people with at least one dose is 162 828 (71.3 per cent of the eligible population). The number of fully vaccinated is 153 831 (56.8 per cent of the total population or 67.4 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older.
