The message from a service, held under the theme Fresh Start, at Dunamis Outreach Ministries of the Wesleyan Holiness Church, urged the congregation to embrace people who feel they are being left behind.
Reverend Carlos Brathwaite said many people were hurting and he wanted “to make the church more social in its approach to ministry”.
“God’s story is one of inclusion. However, we have been brought up to some extent with exclusion, where only the ‘fittest will survive’, but that is not God’s way.
“God’s way is everybody is important and therefore as a church, we need to move our ministry from catering to those who come on the inside, to provide guidance and hope to those who think society has left them behind,” Brathwaite said. (Nation News)
