Church-breaker Wayne Harold McCarthy sought the forgiveness of the congregation.
He got that and more when the priest of the church he had broken into appeared in the No. 2 Supreme Court yesterday.
McCarthy, of 1st Avenue, Seclusion Road, Black Rock, St Michael, had initially pleaded guilty to entering Holy Innocents Anglican Church in St Thomas, a place of divine worship, between May 10 and 11, 2016, and stealing two microphones, two cables and a back-up power supply belonging to the church, as well as a laptop belonging to Keimar Greene.
He also confessed to entering St Augustine Church in St George, between April 20 and 21, 2016, and stealing three of its televisions.
Yesterday, priest-in-charge of Holy Innocents, Rev Anthony Harewood, told the court McCarthy had visited the church after he had been released from remand. (HLE)
