Atlantis still keeping tight protocols

Although the Atlantis Submarine has not fully rebounded since taking a hit during the COVID-19 pandemic, its health and safety protocols have not lapsed.

General manager Roseanne Myers gave that assurance yesterday and pointed out that close to 100 per cent of their staff were vaccinated and those who were not, were required to get tested regularly for the viral illness.

“It was not a conversation we could have and people could opt-out of, not when you are running the business we are in. From the time vaccines became available, we were very clear to our employees, you needed to be vaccinated or tested. You cannot operate a submarine company and put people in closed environments and people can’t be sure that they are safe. So 95 per cent of our staff are vaccinated and the ones that are not get tested weekly,” Myers said.

She made those comments yesterday at The Shallow Draught, Bridgetown, during the company’s 35th-anniversary celebrations.  (TG)
