Members of the public yesterday vented their frustrations about breaches of COVID-19 protocols by Barbadians in the just-concluded General Election as well as tourists here on vacation or for cricket.
Callers on Starcom Network’s Sunday Brass Tacks radio programme complained of seeing many tourists, especially those visiting on cruise ships and others attending the T20 cricket matches at Kensington Oval, not wearing masks.
However, COVID-19 Public Advisor David Ellis said this could be an indication that a relaxation of the guidelines may be coming soon.
In relation to the hundreds of visitors, mainly British, not wearing masks at the Oval, marketing and communications manager of the Barbados Cricket Association, Steven Leslie, told the DAILY NATION that during the international T20 matches between England and the West Indies, his team tried to ensure the protocols were followed.
