A total of 67 people (32 males and 35 females) tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) on Sunday, March 20, from the 541 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.
The cases comprised 14 people under the age of 18, and 53 who were 18 years and older.
There were 48 people in isolation facilities, while 907 were in home isolation.
Two women, aged 55 and 60, succumbed to the virus on Sunday. They were both unvaccinated.
As at March 20, the viral illness had claimed 329 lives.
The public health laboratory has carried out 603 651 tests since February 2020, and recorded 57 800 COVID-19 cases (26 799 males and 31 001 females).
Under the National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign, the total number of people with at least one dose is 160 800 (70.4 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of fully vaccinated people is 150 682 (55.6 per cent of the total population or 66 per cent of the eligible population).
