Staff at the Winston Scott Polyclinic walked off the job this morning, complaining that they were being plagued by environmental challenges at the Jemmotts Layne facility.
Staff told Nation online that people were falling ill, noting that there were regular sightings of mould and mice droppings.At 2pm, representatives from the Ministry of Health, the National Union of Public Workers and the Unity Workers Union, are still in a meeting, following a walk-through of the facility. Speaking to to the media prior to the walkthrough, NUPW general secretary Richard Green said there were a number of long outstanding concerns that needed attention.(CLM)
