A flash-flood warning is in effect for Barbados until 6 p.m., or sooner if conditions warrant.
A flash flood warning is issued when rapid flooding due to heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time (generally less than six hours) is occurring or is imminent in the warning area.
In a release, the Barbados Meteorological Services said: Unstable conditions are affecting the island and are likely to generate rainfall accumulations of two to three inches, mainly across some northwestern, central and eastern districts.
