Construction associated with the transformation of the old Edgewater Hotel into a world-class beach house and villa has some St Joseph residents are up in arms.
They say access to the Joe’s River gully from the Joe’s River Bridge will be blocked by two concrete columns on either side, a claim made in a video earlier this week by resident Victor Lewis.
However, attorney Faye Finisterre, who is representing the owner, an Australian resident who fell in love with Barbados on his first trip here and eventually bought the property, said her client had no such intentions.
“I have spoken to the architects, so I understand there is going to be a wall set up on the eastern side as well as one on the western side to shore up the property. However, there is no intention of creating a boundary between the two walls that would exclude anyone,” she told the Weekend Nation. (Nation News)
