Two of the four people who were travelling in a vehicle succumbed to injuries after an early morning accident along Highway 7 in the area of Hastings, Christ Church.
Police say the car was travelling in an easterly direction around 3:30 a.m. when it struck a wall next to the Soco Hotel and then a utility pole.
A female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor, while a male passenger, who was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, succumbed to his injuries.
Motorists traveling along Highway 7 in a southerly direction are asked to divert at Hart’s Gap, and at Dayrells Road in the area of Bubba’s Sports Bar, if going towards The City.
Police from the Hastings/Worthing Station are presently carrying out investigations and anyone who may have witnessed the accident or have any information can call 430-7614/15. (PR/SAT)
