Barbados has selected a strong Under-23 netball team to represent the country at the inaugural Caribbean Games slated to take place in Guadeloupe June 29 to July 3.
The Under-23 Bajan Gems will be captained by Brianna Holder, who along with seven other members of the squad, have represented the senior Barbados team.
Those players are vice-captain Akeena Stoute, Chiara Chase, Dei Padmore, Stephian Shepherd, Trishan Deanne, Vivica Addison and Jada Smith.
The other four members of the squad are national footballer Acacia Small, junior national volleyballer Xhane Greenidge, along with Kimani Archer and Shonica Griffith, who were champions in primary school while playing for the Blackman and Gollop School. (KB)
