Intermittent showers in Roseau made a mockery of the opening T20 international between the West Indies and Bangladesh, with play abandoned before the home team could begin their run chase.
The match at Windsor Park ended in a no-decision.
A wet field delayed the start and initially reduced the match to 16 overs. During the playing time, there were two further interruptions, the last of them coming at the end of the 13th over with Bangladesh on 105-8.
The rain started at 5 p.m local time and 20 minutes were lost. When the final downpour came, the game was reduced to 14 overs a side.
The cut-off time for a five-over match was supposed to be 5:18 p.m. and the match was called off at 5:20 p.m. When the decision was made, the sun was shining brightly on the ground. (MK)
