Port welcomes four cruise ships

Four cruise ships were docked at the Bridgetown Port yesterday, bringing with them more than 6 000 passengers.

Among the vessels was the Marella Voyager, one of two ships from the TUI Group that will homeport in Barbados for the 2023-2024 cruise season.

“Barbados’ relationship with the TUI Group continues to strengthen with each passing year. The group’s decision to homeport two of their larger vessels here on island speaks to the strength of the Barbados brand,” Minister of Tourism Ian Gooding-Edghill said during a reception yesterday morning.

“Furthermore, homeporting these two vessels is a significant step towards positively impacting our tourism industry during the cruise winter season.” (HG)
