Police and union officials are carrying out investigations after a teacher was allegedly threatened at Hilda Skeene Primary, St Philip, on Wednesday morning.
The Nation understands a parent made the threat and the principal is reportedly meeting with staff, who are calling for a security officer to be stationed at the compound.
The gates are closed, but school is still in session. A few parents came to the school as the news circulated.
Officials of the Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT) are also said to be on the plant.
Yesterday, BUT president Rudy Lovell lamented the delay in implementing the school safety policy and said there were too many schools without security guards.
More details as they come. (PR/TSG)
