Parents of students at St John Primary School are expressing concern about disruption of studies due to ongoing environmental health problems there.
Deborah Richards, who said she was representing parents, told the second St John Speaks parish meeting at Gall Hill on Tuesday night that two days last week teachers reported sick and students were sent home.
“This environmental issue is getting worse. We have teachers, pupils falling sick and this is causing a lot of problems” because the children “are missing school”.
“So we want to find out tonight what is really the plan for St John Primary School and how soon will it be fixed,” Richards said.
“We don’t need a temporary fix; we need a permanent fix.” (HH)
