The vandalised bus stop that was in a video circulating on social media last week has been removed. In its place is a bus bench with a telling message.
Barney Gibbs, managing director of Adopt A Stop, the provider of the bus shelters, told the Sunday Sun yesterday that the bus shelter was removed and replaced with a bus bench bearing the text “If you brek it up, we tek it up: Vandalism hurts everyone.”
Gibbs said he was sent the video on Thursday morning and removed the shelter the following day, replacing it with the bench.
The video showed several students from a secondary school attempting to vandalise a bus shelter at Holetown/Maple on Highway 1, by rocking and shaking it. (NS)
