Just over 50 aircraft are expected to touch down at the Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) today, one of the busiest days of the year.
The majority of traffic is listed at 21 commercial flights, 11 air-to-sea and in excess of 19 regional carriers.
Dubbed “Fat Thursday”, there will be five coming out of Germany – two from Discover Airlines and three from Condor – as well as six from TUI Airways with 8 000 commercial passengers passing through the airport.
A shortlived strike by staff of Goddard Catering Group Inc. Barbados (GCG) did not affect operations. (NS)
