The installation of a monument in Heroes’ Square, The City, on the site formerly occupied by Rear Admiral Lord Nelson, will start on July 24.
The work, which is being done under The Barbados Tourism Investment Inc. (BTI), is expected to last for four months and finish in November 25.
Contractors will fully secure the construction site with hoarding between Saturday and Sunday in preparation for the work.
As a result, Heroes’ Square will be closed to motorists, while pedestrian access will be minimised for the duration of the project. (PR/SAT)
