Killer Colin Hadley Reifer was given a starting sentence of 15 years for strangling his estranged wife to death when he reappeared in the No. 5A Supreme Court yesterday.
However, after a number of deductions, he will serve a remaining five years, 44 days in prison.
Reifer, now 66, a contractor, of Sunset Drive North, Fort George Heights, St Michael, had pleaded guilty to unlawfully killing his wife Cheryl Bourne-Reifer – manslaughter – on February 15, 2015. He was originally arraigned with murdering her but had denied that count.
