Joe’s River case to resume April 24

The High Court yesterday halted any further construction of a wall by a private developer at Tenby, Joe’s River, St Joseph.

However, a decision on if that wall is to be eventually removed in its entirety will have to be decided at trial.

Acting High Court Justice Barbara Cooke-Alleyne made the ruling after an application for an urgent injunctive relief was filed by attorney Gregory Nicholls on behalf of Joe’s River residents Victor Lewis and Christopher Oliver.

Her ten-minute decision came after Nicholls and Faye Finisterre, the attorney representing the developer at Tenby, completed submissions to the court during a four-hour emergency hearing via Zoom. Finisterre had argued that Nicholls did not provide a prima facie case, but the judge disagreed. (BA)
