‘He’s either mad or just wicked’

If killer Cheriss Ricardo Omar Ince isn’t mad, then he is just wicked.

It is to find out which one he is, said Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Alliston Seale, that he is in favour of the court’s request for a psychiatric report.

Seale was making his submissions on sentence as he called for Ince to be imprisoned for life by the No. 2 Supreme Court yesterday.

Ince, of Nursery No. 2, Four Roads, St Philip, had pleaded guilty to the non-capital murder of 75-year-old Marcelle Claudia Smith, between October 12 and October 25, 2015.

The Deputy DPP, who appeared with State Counsel Anastacia McMeo and Paul Prescod, agreed with Justice Randall Worrell’s call for a “full and comprehensive” psychiatric report on the murderer.

“Then if it comes back and says he isn’t mad, then he is just wicked,” Seale argued. (HLE)
