The Barbados Meteorological Services has extended a flash flood watch for the island.
A shearline continues to affect Barbados, which brought heavy showers and few isolated thunderstorms this morning. Pockets of moderate shower activity is expected to continue throughout the day resulting in possible flooding across low-lying areas.
A flash flood watch means that conditions are favourable for flash flooding to occur within the watch area, though it does not guarantee that flooding will happen.
This watch will remain in effect until 6 p.m. today or sooner if conditions improve.
