So said Justice Laurie-Ann Smith-Bovell as she dealt with father Anecitus Albert who was back before her in the No. 4 Supreme Court yesterday.
He had placed his daughter’s hand on a lit stove burner in an attempt to teach her a lesson about stealing.
“In parenting we all make mistakes, but discipline does not involve abuse and what you did was abuse. As they say, time heals all wounds. But if this was closer up to the event, chances are you would be looking at a prison sentence,” the judge told him. (HLE)
