Tomorrow could be decision day for Dutchman Harold Vernon Christobal Sint Jago when he reappears in the No. 5 Supreme Court.
However, he is scheduled to appear at a magistrates’ court today to have outstanding matters disposed of.
Sint Jago, of Holland, The Netherlands, was before Justice Pamela Beckles yesterday to be sentenced after he had pleaded guilty to having a firearm and 13 rounds of 9mm ammunition on June 22, 2021.
With a Dutch interpreter translating the proceedings, the judge said Sint Jago had outstanding cocaine matters before a magistrates’ court.
Sint Jago is accused of possession of cocaine, having the drug with intent to supply and having a traffickable quantity, also on June 22, 2021.
The alleged drugs weighed 1.1 kilogrammes with an estimated street value of $55 000.
King’s Counsel Michael Lashley later explained he had made contact with the prosecutor at the District “C” Magistrates’ Court at St Matthias, Christ Church, and had been told the drug matters would be dealt with today.
Justice Beckles then adjourned her sentencing until tomorrow. (HLE)
