The prosecution believes self-confessed rapist Kegan Omar Collins should get ten to 12 years for his first count.
However, Principal State Counsel Krystal Delaney says he should serve between 15 and 18 years for the second rape count.
Collins’ attorney Kyle Walkes argued that ten to 12 years should be the starting point for both counts.
The two attorneys were making submissions on sentence when Collins returned to the No. 5 Supreme Court yesterday.
Collins, 22, of Farm Tenantry, St Peter, had pleaded guilty, earlier in the Session of Continuous Sittings, to having unlawful sexual intercourse with a woman on January 27, 2020, and again on February 3, 2020. (HLE)
