A total of 302 new COVID-19 cases, 121 males and181 females, were identified out of the 858 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Laboratory on Friday, July 29.
The cases comprised 50 individuals under the age of 18 and 252 who were 18 years and older.
There was also one death recorded yesterday, that of a 72-year-old Barbadian male.
There are 64 people in isolation facilities and 3 064 others in home isolation.
Since the start of the pandemic, Barbados has recorded 91 895
COVID-19 cases (41,819 males and 50 076 females) from 727 991 tests.
The number of lives lost to the viral illness is 493.
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 162 953 people (71.3 per cent of the eligible population) have received at least one dose. To date, 154 001 individuals (56.8 per cent of the total population or 67.4 per cent of the eligible population) are fully vaccinated.
