Barbados recorded 239 new COVID-19 cases, 101 males and 138 females, on Friday, April 1, from the 1 039 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.
The cases comprised 62 people under the age of 18, and 177 who were 18 years and older.
There were 66 people in isolation facilities, while1 209 were in home isolation.
As at April 1 the virus had claimed 375 lives.
The public health laboratory has carried out 614 361 tests since February 2020, and recorded 59 734 COVID-19 cases (27 663 males and 32 071 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the number of people with at least one dose is 161 179 (70.6 per cent of the eligible population).
The number of fully vaccinated is 151 234 (55.8 per cent of the total population or 66.2 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
