Barbados recorded 86 new COVID-19 cases, 47 males and 39 females, from the 507 tests carried out on Saturday, August 27, by laboratories across the island.
The cases comprised 10 people under the age of 18, and 76 who were 18 years and older.
The number of people in isolation facilities was 90, while 1 699 were in home isolation.
As at August 27, there were 539 deaths as a result of COVID-19.
The laboratories conducted 753 539 tests since February 2020, and recorded 100 762 COVID-19 cases (45 559 males and 55 203 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the number of people with at least one dose is 163 178 (71.4 per cent of the eligible population).
The number of fully vaccinated is 154 370, comprising 67 688 males and 86 682 females, which is 57 per cent of the total population or 67.6 per cent of the eligible population, those who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
