Classes are expected to resume for students of St Giles Nursery and St Stephen’s Nursery on Tuesday morning.
In the case of St Giles Nursery, the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training says a meeting will be held with officials from the Ministry, representatives from the National Petroleum Corporation, teachers’ unions, and staff to discuss additional measures to limit the generation of dust that is caused as a result of the laying of natural gas pipes.
Meanwhile, students in Reception at St Stephen’s Nursery will be housed at St Stephen’s Anglican Church.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness indicated that it was still seeking to resolve the matter related to the external environmental concern that is affecting the school and has “given the assurance that the matter will be resolved shortly”.
School will be expected to resume at the original site following assessments by environmental health officials. (PR/SAT)
